Hi r/germany, Grüße aus der Oberpfalz! Right, I'm looking to organise a charity climb up the Zugspitze with my uncle, brother and mum. I have narrowed it down to this route as it looks scenic and is also the least technically challenging. We are all fairly fit (last summer, we cycled from North Wales to southern Cornwall in the UK), but not experienced hikers on the more technical routes. So if you have experience with this route or just have a lot of knowledge of walking in general, I have a few questions: Do you think it's reasonable to plan to do walk up and down in 24hrs? Since it's for charity, we want to do something which sounds challenging enough that people will donate. Going up and down in the same day definitely has that factor, but as the route is 8-11 hours one-way, we'd obviously we walking the latter part in the dark which might be considered too dangerous. We'd bring headlamps, obviously! If you wouldn't advise going up and down in a day, how difficult is it to book accommodation on the mountain?

to England [Birmingham to see my sister and her fiance, possibly London for a day or two.. it's very low on our list though] Fly to Marrakesh, Morocco [we have been convinced to go there, it looks beautiful and full of culture so we're going to do it] Fly (or train? ) to Spain [we're trying to decide on a second city in Spain to see that is along our route but Barcelona is for sure] Train to French Riviera [probably a decent chunk of time spent here] Train to Florence [Possibly work in Cinque Terre pre-Florence? ] Train to Rome Train to Venice Train to Graz, Austria [we have free accommodation in a very beautiful place I believe] And from that point on it's pretty open aside from the fact that we want to see Paris and we fly out of London. Possibly just Graz to Paris to London, maybe work in Budapest or Vienna? not sure.. we're planning to do that as we go I think but advice is welcomed. I guess specific questions I'm looking to have points of view on are: Are we trying to see too much in 50 days?

Jane and Richard run loveliest B&B on earth. They set a standard that will be hard to achieve as the included so much of their wonderful personalities in the B&B. Jane met us and showed us to our room. She provided a milk for us in case we wanted a coffee and above us, she made us truffles. They were soooo delicious. The room was great. It was clean, spacious, comfortable and we immediately felt like home. We slept like angels. The breakfast was superb. Everything prepared from scratch, home made bread, locally sourced ingredients and many vegan options available, as well as smoothies. Both Jane and Richard were so nice and we felt like staying with friends rather then being guests. They took time to talk to us and we really had most wonderful time.
